CID Preschool Pragmatic Language Rating Forms
The CID Preschool Pragmatic Language Rating Form is an easy-to-use, criterion-referenced assessment designed for teachers of the deaf, speech-language pathologists and other professionals to use with 3- to 5-year-old children who are deaf and hard of hearing. Based on research with children with typical hearing and the experience of seasoned teachers of the deaf, this assessment lists the most common and useful pragmatic language skills for preschoolers. It enables teachers to:
- determine present levels of pragmatic language skills
- determine pragmatic language goals for IEPs and lessons
- track pragmatic language development over time and
- report pragmatic language progress to parents and other professionals
