Speech Instruction for Children Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing is an introductory level workshop specifically intended for SLPs who have limited experience evaluating, creating goals and planning speech therapy sessions for children who are deaf and hard of hearing.

An audiology overview will provide a basis for understanding the speech characteristics of children who are deaf and hard of hearing.

Specific therapy techniques will help participants design practical therapy sessions for children at a variety of ages, birth to 12+ years. Video, interactive activities, classroom observation and a CID school tour will support lectures.
